Dragon's Dogma 2 Dragon's Gaze Location Where Find Wakestone Shards

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dragon’s Gaze Location: Where to Find Wakestone Shards Easy

The Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dragon’s Gaze is a special item that will make finding Wakestone Shard locations fairly easy. Since Wakestones can be used to revive your character and reverse NPC death, they are incredibly rare and tend to be tucked away inside treasure chests found at the end of dungeons and hard-to-reach paths. But using the Dragon’s Gaze item reveals where these shards can be found, showing on the map whether there are any in your character’s vicinity. Here’s where to find the Dragon’s Gaze consumable in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Where is the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dragon’s Gaze location?

The easiest way to find the Dragon’s Gaze in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is in a chest in the highest tower at the castle in Vermund.

It will take awhile before you are able to reach the capital of Vermund, as you will need to be escorted through the gate in the opening area. You’ll need to find the commander waiting in the town of Melve so that he is the only one who can provide the password to get you past it. From there, you can opt to take an oxcart to the capital, which we recommend you do as that gives you a chance of avoiding the griffin.

Once you’re able to reach the capital in one piece, you can head straight to the main castle by going through the Noble’s Quarter. You’ll then need to locate the tallest watchtower in the area and find a lift that will take you to the top. A black chest with the Dragon’s Gaze can be found here along with a few other items. In fact, we suggest scouring the castle for an incredible amount of free items, particularly noble attire, that you can sell for extra gold.

You’ll want to use the Dragon’s Gaze item as you travel throughout the world with relatively high frequency, and you’ll want to carry it along with you despite the extra weight. The effective radius of the item when used is rather small compared to how large the map is, so any new areas should be scanned with it. In fact, having a Wakestone Shard appear on the map usually indicates a hidden path somewhere, so in some instances it’s a good way to locate secrets.
