Uncharted 4 May Not Run at 60fps

PlayStation developer Naughty Dog has revealed that the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End demo we saw running at the PlayStation Experience late last year was locked at 30 frames-per-second, noting that the game may not reach that golden 60fps standard if it compromises other aspects of the experience.

"We're actually above 30, but we locked it [for the demo]," game director Bruce Straley told Edge. "We're going to do whatever it takes to make the game we want to make. If it means we could go for 60 but lose something that would really impact the player's experience, then it's our choice as developers to say, 'Well, we're going to go for the experience over the 60 frames.'"

It's worth noting that all three prior entries in the Uncharted franchise ran at 30fps, so I can't imagine it will be too much of an issue if Naughty Dog can't get the game running at 60fps. What are your feelings about the news? Have developers already reached the limits of Sony's new-gen hardware?
