During this week's Windows 10 event, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer revealed the future of PC gaming, noting that there is going to be a lot more overlap between gaming on Xbox One and Windows 10.
In fact, Fable Legends will support cross-platform play and gamers will be able to stream their Xbox One library of games to Windows 10 tablets and PCs. But what about cross-buy support? According to Spencer, that will be up to the publisher.
"We're [Microsoft] the platform," he said in an interview with the media after the event. "So, we will enable what the publisher wants to do with their content. I think giving away anybody's content to someone else is not our role. How you end up with the game on both platforms is going to be dependent on who's selling the game."
What do you think of Microsoft's renewed approach to PC gaming? Will it be able to compete with the likes of Steam?
