Electronic Arts and developer Ghost Games revealed the next entry in the Need for Speed franchise this morning. It was previously thought to be another Underground game, but it's actually a "full reboot."
Although the new Need for Speed isn't part of the Underground series, it certainly gives off that vibe in the short teaser trailer. In fact, Ghost Games was inspired by past Underground titles in the creation of the Need for Speed reboot.
The reboot will feature an open world, a day-to-night cycle, and numerous customization options. All of this sounds par for the course, but Ghost Games also promises an "immersive narrative" to grab each player's attention throughout the course of the game.
The Need for Speed reboot is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. More information will be revealed at this year's E3 in June.
