The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt came out last month, but it's still the biggest game being played and talked about at the moment. It also continues to sell well, as evidenced by the fact that it's sold four million copies in just a few short weeks.
The news comes from an open letter by CD Projekt RED Co-Founder Marcin Iwiński. In it he thanks all the fans who have purchased the game and promises to deliver on the upcoming expansions.
"I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the four million gamers worldwide who bought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the first two weeks from launch," he said. "Four million RPG fans spending their hard-earned money on our game is a sign that we did something right, and you can be sure that we’ll harness all that positive energy and make the upcoming expansions worthy of the grand adventure that you’re telling us Wild Hunt already is!"
The Witcher 3 had a bit of a rocky launch, but CD Projekt RED recently released a patch fixing some issues and continues to consistently support the game. Now excuse me while I jump back into Velen and sink more hours into the open-world RPG.
