In just two days The Game Awards 2015 will be hosted in Los Angeles. It's going to be a huge event where many industry people will be in attendance, several of which will earn awards for their recent work.
Among those confirmed to be in attendance will be Hideo Kojima and Kiefer Sutherland. For the time being, it appears that both will be there for their respective work on Game of the Year candidate Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Some fans are already hoping that new content for the game will be revealed to tie up its disappointingly loose ends, but that seems unlikely given the harsh break-up between Konami and Kojima Productions.
Among the games nominated for Game of the Year 2015 are Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Super Mario Maker, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Three of these games have massive open worlds, and four are RPGs, which goes to show just how strong the genre was this year.
Nominees for other categories can be seen on the official site.
Many Metal Gear fans were satisfied with Kiefer Sutherland's voice work on Metal Gear Solid V, although he didn't speak that often—surprising, given the game's significant length. Meanwhile, Hideo Kojima is currently untied to any development studio. Naturally, many gamers are wondering what's next for him.
