Star Wars: Battlefront’s Huge January Update Leaked, Includes New Map and More

Star Wars: Battlefront did a lot of things right when it launched in November of last year. It looked and felt authentic to the Star Wars universe, and had a tremendous presentation. But many argued that it didn't include enough content to substantiate its $60 price tag.

EA is looking to add free updates and DLC over time to remedy this concern.

In a push to provide new ways to enjoy the game, an update will become available for Star Wars Battlefront this month that introduces attractive content for players. For one, it will contain a new Tatooine-based map, providing a new landscape for players to battle on. It'll also add Daily Challenges, Private Matches, and Special Community Events along with new costumes for hero characters.

The update was leaked via a video posted by EA Brazil. It has since been taken down due to EA's request.

This update has been long-awaited by fans of the game who tore through its initial content offerings. The free nature of this post-launch update will help to retain players and bring back those who have left due to burnout.
