The latest "On The House" promotion through Origin is now Need for Speed: Most Wanted. And to be clear, this is the 2012 reboot developed by Criterion Games, not the original 2005 title by EA Black Box.
The "On The House" program has been fairly successful, particularly with past free offers of Jade Empire and the entire catalog of The Sims 3.
As usual, you can get the game through Origin with absolutely for free without any catch. You can even put it in your library and then download it later after the "On the House" promotion changes to a different title.
