Last week's move to bring Quantum Break to PC summoned a wide spectrum of emotions. Although some Xbox fans were not delighted to see one of the Xbox One's most heralded upcoming games become multiplatform, it's just the tip of the iceberg of a strategy by Microsoft to support PC gaming as it has long promised.
This begs the question: What other upcoming Xbox One games will be hitting PC? We already know that Sea of Thieves, ReCore, and Fable Legends are, but it won't end there.
WPDang is reporting that Microsoft is preparing an announcement for Forza Motorsport 6, Forza Horizon 3, and Gears of War 4 and their eventual debut on Windows 10. It's a rumor that comes on strong authority by a site with a strong reputation for reliable rumors.
Forza Motorsport 6 was one of last year's greatest games and perhaps one of the best racing games in history. Sadly, it didn't sell as many units as its prestige would suggest, currently standing at or slightly above one million units sold. It deserves better, and PC might just help with that.
If true, the trend will shift strongly toward every one of Microsoft's first-party exclusives becoming Xbox One and PC releases, perhaps except for Halo. It's a transition that could impact the Xbox One's competitiveness, but it appears that Microsoft is willing to take that risk in favor of growing its ecosystem.
