A trailer dropped today for the upcoming Prey reboot – also titled Prey – but it isn't exactly what you'd call new. More like different.
Rather than the monotone male voice from the original trailer, this new offering features a female voice. Upon releasing this video, the developers have indicated that this choice will have no bearing on the game itself, in terms of gameplay or plot, but they wanted to give players the option.
"It’s yet another way that Arkane is saying yes to the player," the developers wrote under the video.
In the past, developers have landed themselves in hot water for a lack of gender inclusion, as was the case most famously with Assassin's Creed Unity, and Arkane studios will avoid that hullabaloo entirely. Watch:
