After more than a year of rumors, Rockstar Games has announced Red Dead Redemption 2. The announcement was made using a digital art poster, as seen above. The image shows seven Western style characters walking toward the viewer with a large sunset behind them. Presumably, the middle character will be the new protagonist for the game, replacing Red Dead Redemption's John Marson.
A Fall 2017 release date has been confirmed. Also, the title will be coming to Xbox One and PS4. There will be no PC version, which has caused some outrage among PC gamers who have been requesting a Red Dead Redemption PC port for more than six years.
TELL GR: What Do You Want From the Next Red Dead Game?
Rockstar Games has described the title as the following:
Red Dead Redemption 2 will feature an online multiplayer component that supports free roam as well as competitive matchmaking. Though, the game's single player narrative that spans a huge, open world will be its main selling point.
A debut trailer will arrive on Thursday, unveiling the game for the first time.
