Outlast 2's demo released to the public last month, and was perhaps the scariest thing since … well, since the original Outlast.
The reaction to the demo apparently led to the same conclusion: everyone is sh**ing themselves during playthrough. Fret not, my loose-boweled peers, developer Red Barrels has you covered with their new (and apparenly totally real) Kickstarted project titled "Underscares," an industrial-quality diaper.
From the Kickstarter page, "Underscares are 100% real and inspired by the Outlast community. In partnership with local designers, we developed a diaper prototype that combines practicality, comfort and style so gamers can experience abject terror without worrying about dirtying their egos (or their couches)."
This, of course, was under the sub-heading "You Shat, We Listened."
A pledge of $55 CAD (about $40 USD), will net you both the Basic Underscares and a Steam Key for Outlast 2, which is slated for release in early 2017. But a pledge of $6,666 CAD (about $5,000 USD) will net you six Outlast 2 Steam Keys, six Deluxe Underscares (which feature reinforced waist support, a drink pocket and a wearable nightlight), and, most of all the actual 16'x14'x16' Outlast Chapel used at PAX East. There is only one of these available, though, so act fast!
So, poop away, my scared friends! Outlast's Underscares has you covered.
