Dishonored 2 Begins To Address PC Issues With Beta Patch

Dishonored 2 has been having a rough time since releasing, with issues affecting many PC users, covering things as simple as minor framerate drops to as serious as game-crippling bugs. While this certainly isn't of Batman: Arkham Knight proportions, where the game was actually pulled from Steam and the developers handed out refunds like cheap cigars, that hasn't stopped people from requesting and getting refunds, and that hasn't stopped Dishonored 2's Steam rating from tanking.

Fortunately for Dishonored 2's PC fans, Arkane Studios has embarked on what is surely a long road to recovery, announcing that they are releasing a Beta Update for Steam that co-creative director Harvey Smith hopes will be live in the next few days.

This update (1.1) isn't the full patch that will hopefully solve all issues. As the update says, "Update 1.2 development is underway and will address a broader range of issues including performance and is estimated to be available in the next week."

While it isn't much, it's certainly a start. While my experience reviewing the game on PC was mostly positive, despite not meeting the recommended requirements, it seems I'm most certainly in the minority. If all of this isn't enough for you, and you feel they should have released a completed project with no issues, well, Smith understands that perspective, too:
