BioWare New IP Scheduled For Q1 2018, Need For Speed Coming This Year

A conference call was held today between BioWare and investors. Among talk of finances was its roadmap, which included new information regarding two unannounced games in development.

BioWare shared during the investor call that its new IP is scheduled for a Q1 2018 release. The title is said to be an action game with a heavy emphasis on multiplayer.

According to a blog post, BioWare says that the title will be set in a "new universe full of new characters, stories, and gameplay". It is said to "bring players together in exciting new ways". This has already led to widespread speculation that the title will target Destiny's audience with a console MMO style of experience, although there is no direct evidence for this.

BioWare also shared that a new Need for Speed game is on the way, with a Fall 2017 release window. An official announcement is yet to be made for the title.
