Nintendo promised select retailers would have midnight release events for the Nintendo Switch console, and, this morning, one of those retailers showed that the Japanese gaming giant wasn't just whistling dixie.
GameStop announced today, in a press release, that their stores will have a limited supply of Nintendo Switch consoles exclusively for walk-in customers – no pre-orders. While this is certain to create a mad dash at 12:00 a.m. of March 3, it's also the most viable option to get a Switch, if you're one of the scores of people who neglected to pre-order only to find it sell out everywhere in a matter of hours.
GameStop also announced two slightly discounted console bundles, one for $429.99 that includes the Pro Controller and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and another for $459.99 that includes those two items plus the official strategy guide for the game.
There will certainly be campouts, but you may be lucky enough to still grab one without full camping gear, depending on how "limited" this supply really is.
GameStop already announced several trade-in deals that will make it easier for you to get a Switch console and accessories, so make sure to take advantage of those.
