We already know that both Microsoft and Sony are developing their next-gen consoles, though we don't know many details other than it's happening. Today, Supererogatory on Twitter has revealed several employee positions at Microsoft whose Linkedin profiles curiously show that, yes, this is indeed happening:
- Jeff Faulkner is the current "Xbox Next Gen Creative Director".
- Jonathan Harris is the Senior Creative Director for Xbox currently "designing the next generation of entertainment".
- And Joe Langevin is an "Xbox Hardware Intern at Microsoft" working on "high speed data buses to prevent electromagnetic interference in next-gen devices".
So at this point, the only thing I'm concerned about is when they're going to announce the console. I would say they might reveal some teaser trailer on it at next year's E3 convention before releasing the Xbox 720, or whatever it's called, to the masses the following year (2013).
