Peter Molyneux Apologizes To Press

The BAFTA Fellowship is a prestigious award whose only other video game recipients include Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto, Atari founder Nolan Bushnell, and Sim-creator Will Wright. That is perhaps why Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux felt it necessary to clear the cobwebs of his career in one fell sweep during his BAFTA acceptance speech in London last night… well, at least a bit:

I'd like to thank the press, by the way, for listening to my stuff. Sorry – I've slightly over-promised on things on occasion. I could name at least 10 features in games that I've made up to stop journalists going to sleep and I really apologize to the team for that.

Every day I wake up and thank the stars that I'm still here now. I love my job so much and I really feel like going home and working harder than I've ever done to prove that I deserve this award.

Hey, Molyneux, you're not allowed to call yourself out on your bullshit. I mean, what are we supposed to write about now? Oh, I remember. You pondered the idea of having sex with the dog in Fable II. Sorry, but you'll never be able to live that down.
