Major Nelson has revealed the top games based on unique users on Xbox LIVE in 2011. He also includes lists for Xbox LIVE Arcade titles, indie titles, Windows Live titles, and Windows Phone.
The vast majority of the entries are not surprising, as it seems to be a multiplayer gunfest all year round on Xbox LIVE. Luckily, Skyrim was able to crack the Top 10, which is no small feat given that it launched near the end of the year on November 11. (Shout-outs to Pinball FX2, Fruit Ninja Kinect, and Avatar Legends!)
(I also know that no Assassin's Creed title wasn't in the Top 20… slightly surprising.)
