Rumor: Elder Scrolls MMO To Be Announced In May

Have you already done all there is to do in the land of Skyrim, but are still aching for fresh quests, a fresh world, and even a fresh take on the series? According to a new rumor from Tom's Guide, an Elder Scrolls MMO is not only in the works, but it could be revealed as early as May.

This guy Tom, who has a guide, spoke to… you guessed it! An anonymous source! These anonymous sources are all the rage these days, eh?

Anyway, Tom's Guide's anonymous source's info says that the game takes place during the Elder Scrolls "second era", which is a full millennium before the events that took place in Skyrim. Supposedly, according to the shady tipster, there will be three main factions represented by a lion, a witch, and a wardrobe, a dragon and some type of bird of prey. Oh, and it will be revealed in just two months.

Going all the way back as far as 2007, Bethesda registered the domain name www.elderscrollsonline.com, so plans could have been set for such an MMO years ago. It also may explain why Bethesda fought so hard against Mojang for the "scrolls" trademark.

Truthfully, my personal and professional life couldn't handle such a game, meaning I would likely have to give up my entire personal and professional life just so I could commit to a new life in this new fictional world of Elder Scrolls.
