Telltale Games Reveals First Trailer For The Walking Dead

Telltale Games will be transforming Robert Kirkman's Eisner Award-winning comic The Walking Dead, which has seen a tremendous following and high critical praise for its television adaptation on AMC, into a five-episode video game series.

The trailer above was animated and directed by Daniel M. Kanemoto, who was chosen because he had produced an extraordinary fan-made Walking Dead title sequence himself (which you can find at Ex Mortis Films).

Robert Kirkman is certainly impressed with Telltale's 'M'-rated translation of his work:

Telltale has done a phenomenal job in making a game that meets the expectations of fans. Running around with a gun isn’t what The Walking Dead is about; it’s about is how people caught in an apocalypse deal with facing their own death every day, and the horrible choices they have to make to survive. Telltale’s game series has captured the spirit of the comic books perfectly.

The first of five monthly episode will be released in late April on Xbox Live, PSN, PC, and Mac for $5.00. The season pass will be available for the no-discount price of $24.99. They promise to have additional info on the possibility of The Walking Dead being on more platforms.

For a limited time, those who pre-order from Telltale's online store will get a chance to appear in Episode Four of the series as a human survivor and zombie. Pre-ordering the season pass there will give you a 10% discount at $22.49.
