Square Enix has released their lineup of games at PAX East and it's among the largest yet for the upcoming convention in Boston. All of the following titles will be actually playable in some form at their booth:
Heroes of Ruin (3DS) – Attendees who demo the game or upload Facebook photos of themselves with hero weaponry props at the booth will receive raffle tickets toward a 3DS drawing.
Quantum Conundrum (PSN, XBLA, PC) – The puzzler created by Kim Swift, co-creator of Portal, that both Josh and I were extremely impressed with at a GDC event.
Risen 2: Dark Waters (PS3, 360, PC) – A hands-on demo will be available for the next installment in Deep Silver's open-world RPG.
Sleeping Dogs (PS3, 360, PC) – The free-roaming GTA-inspired action adventure that takes place in Hong Kong. Learn how to curse in Cantonese as soon as you can.
Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy (3DS) – I'm not sure what a theatrhythm is. The title is supposed to combine rhythm elements into an RPG. I want to say it will be like Eternal Sonata, but at this point, I have little idea what Square Enix is going to do next, let alone what they're planning for the franchise's 25th anniversary?
WAKFU (PC) – Players can demo the 12 different classes of Ankama Studio's MMORPG, with the first 1,500 visitors earning an exclusive PAX East in-game item and two weeks of free premium game time. They can also spin the Wakfu Prize Wheel for branded merchandise. Hey, everyone likes wheels.
