Reverb Publishing Reveals Majestic-12, To Debut At PAX East

Two days ago, Reverb Publishing teased that they were holding back "an unannounced blockbuster" from their lineup at PAX East 2012. Well, it seems they can't keep silent any longer.

Slated for a release some time this year and described as a "stylized, futuristic human vs. aliens co-op action" title, Exis Interactive's Majestic-12 will make its official debut at the upcoming event in Boston in Booth 808. Allegedly, the title is inspired by a group of secret scientists and military personnel of the same name.

Despite peace between humans and aliens, the aliens have discovered that humans seek to destroy them and have captured the Majestic-12 councilmen in response. Of course, you're one of them. Thus begins your alien revenge in "retro run-and-gun" style" where you must dodge bullet hell, a concept that Ted Lange, executive producer of Reverb Publisher, excitedly supports:

Majestic-12 is an awesome throwback in the vein of old-school shooters like Contra, and we're big fans of Exis' work. They are a seasoned studio that's worked on some amazing AAA properties such as F.E.A.R. 3 and XCOM. We can't wait for gamers to get their hands on Majestic-12 at PAX East and to show the world what else Exis has in store in the future.

Don't forget to check out Reverb's already announced titles at PAX East 2012 as well, including Dungeon Defenders and Jeremy McGrath's Offroad.
