To no one's surprise, it looks like Nintendo is planning to launch the Wii U this November, that is, if a recent memo from Japanese retailer Media Land is to be believed. According to the report, which was first spotted by WiiUDaily, the tablet-friendly console is set to arrive in North America on Sunday, November 18th.
Considering the fact that Nintendo has already made it clear that the Wii U is poised for a fall 2012 release, this should come as a shock to no one. What should, however, is the fact that North American gamers will be able to get their hands on the pretty white box an entire week before it hits store shelves in Japan. Perhaps the staff at Media Land were so ticked off by the fact that they'd have to wait an entire week longer, that they decided to try and pull one over on Nintendo and leak the release info early. Smooth one, guys.
Since Nintendo has yet to actually confirm this date, we can't go ahead and make it official just yet. But considering the fact that the company also launched the Wii on a Sunday in November, it certainly isn't farfetched. After all, sticking to old traditions isn't a particularly foreign concept for Nintendo. Come on guys, we've been waiting for voice acting in Zelda for way too long.
