It looks like Nintendo won't be holding back much at this year's E3, as the company has just confirmed that they have no plans to attend gamescom later this year. According to a report from Nintendo-Online.de, the company will have no presence at Germany's annual gaming convention, noting that they instead plan to host "a number of sampling events throughout Germany in which our fans will have the opportunity to play upcoming Nintendo 3DS, Wii and Wii U titles."
You want to do things your own way then, huh? I see how it is.
With Nintendo passing on the show this August, gamers can expect to see the company bear it all at this year's E3. Aside from the Tokyo Game Show, Nintendo won't see another platform of this magnitude to showcase the Wii U before its launch later this year. With so many negative rumors surrounding the device, Nintendo better have one heck of an E3 if they hope to have a successful hardware launch.
The stakes are high and the company has a lot of skeptical gamers to win over.
