Main producer David Rutter for FIFA 13 has revealed several screenshots of the title, viewable in this article, as well as several improvements that they're shooting for.
The first is an even more realistic ball control, as if it already wasn't as realistic as possible, where it will become more difficult to receive a ball if the in-game player doesn't have the strength, speed, and skill to do so. On an even more technical level, dribbling will require more than just changing direction.
Collisions will also be more realistic with an engine that will consider the hip and upper body area as areas of impact. Free kicks now have a feint shot, while defensive side can send more players into the wall, which is definitely important with the improved AI. Strikers will be smarter and guess your moves much better.
