Are you a student? Do you have dispensable income? Was that redundant? Okay, maybe you're poor… Well, Microsoft wants your money has your back.
Qualifying students can purchase a Windows 7-based PC for a free Xbox 360 4GB console. This offer beings on May 20th at participating retailers in the US, in particular Best Buy, Fry's Electronics, Dell.com, HPDirect.com, Microsoft Stores, and NewEgg.com. Students or their parents will need to bring a valid student identification to take advantage of this offer.
Of course, the one snafu is that this is a free 4GB console, which you'll need to upgrade properly anyway to get the full Xbox 360 experience. I mean, what's 4GB? Two downloads?
That means this offer will likely make you purchase something so that you can purchase something else. That's probably better for Microsoft than you, but I suppose if you need both a Windows 7 PC and an Xbox 360 console, this isn't a bad deal. (You can also just sell the Xbox 360 console too.)
