Nintendo Unveils Wii U Pro Controller

You're probably wondering what that crazy thing is above. Sure, it says Wii U on it and has Wii U Pro Controller tagged in the bottom left corner, but it couldn't possibly be a Nintendo controller? It looks far too comfortable to hold, is too conventional, and makes way too much sense for Nintendo to have created it, right?

Okay, so Nintendo has just announced the Wii U Pro controller. It's aimed at the audience—which is massive, mind you—who prefers traditional gaming. In other words, Nintendo is looking to lure Sony and Microsoft fans while others wait painful years for their next-gen consoles to finally release. The above design does away with the giant tablet-style design, has no 6.2 inch screen aimed to distract you during intense gaming sessions, and says no to cramped hands.

The Wii U Pro is strictly optional and will not support games that require the Wii U GamePad's screen, but it's a great option for the more competitive gamers out there who like competing in Super Smash Bros. or want to stand a chance in multi-platform games like Call of Duty.

Nintendo might not have its press conference until Tuesday but it's already revealed a slew of news which you should take a look at. Nintendo is bringing the heat this week, and we'll be covering all of it. Stay tuned for more.
