During Nintendo’s Spotlight E3 presentation, Zelda series overseer Eiji Aonuma discussed a handful of goings-on regarding smash Nintendo Switch hit The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In addition to new footage from the game’s upcoming DLC packs (featuring Trial of the Sword, Hero’s Path Mode, Hard Mode, and “a new original story” respectively), new Breath of the Wild amiibo featuring the game’s four champions were also confirmed.
The amiibo, including models of the Goron Daruk, Zora Mipha, Rito Revali, and Gerudo Urbosa, will function with the game and new DLC, and can be seen below along with new insight into the DLC.
DLC pack 1, containing the aforementioned new modes, Hard Mode, Travel Medallion, and new armor and gear, is set to release on Switch June 30th. DLC pack 2, now titled The Champions’ Ballad, will be available during the holiday season of this year.
