A German consumer advocacy group is fighting back against "always online" DRM by targetting today's whipping boy of video game lawsuits, Blizzard's Diablo III.
The Federation of Consumer Organisations has issued Blizzard an ultimatum to change the packaging of Diablo III to state that an constant internet connection is required. If Blizzard does not respond by July 27, the developer must face court.
This advocacy group has targeted Diablo III before for its downtime at launch.
But considering that hardware requirements are necessary on the box, perhaps they have a point. Do you think they have one?
