We’re fans of VR here at GameRevolution, especially the Oculus Rift which has delivered a good selection of recommendable games during the past year. Even then, it’s been difficult to recommend to the average gamer, mostly due to its enormous cost. Though, that is quickly changing as it creeps toward affordability with its second major price drop in 2017.
During the next six weeks, the Oculus Rift and Touch controller bundle will be sold at $399. This includes the headset, Touch controllers, and all necessary cabling, making it ready to go out of the box.
This price is half its original MSRP, bringing it below the price point of the PSVR; Oculus Rift is now the most affordable consumer grade virtual reality headset on the market.
This deal is being offered as part of the official ‘Summer of Rift’ sale, which will offer a variety of games at low prices. Confirmed games include The Climb, SUPERHOT VR, Unspoken, and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.
