E3 Will Be Staying In LA Thru 2015

There will be no more speculation where E3 will be next year, as the ESA sent out a press release this morning confirming E3 in LA in 2013. The organization further announced that E3 will remain in LA at least through 2015.

“We are proud to partner with Los Angeles for another three years. The City serves as a strong backdrop for the video game industry’s biggest announcements and we look forward to remaining in LA,” said Michael D. Gallagher, CEO of the ESA. “Video games are a dominant force in the global entertainment marketplace and there is no better place to display that than Los Angeles. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the City and AEG.”

As can be expected, LA is equally thrilled, as the three-day trade show brough in $40 million in revenue for the city in 2012.

E3 2013 has been scheduled for June 11-13 at the LA Convention Center (as usual), LA Live, and "a plethora of venues throughout downtown Los Angeles and the City." So if you were wondering if it would be a plethora, you were correct. El Guapo would be so proud.
