Razer has wasted no time at all releasing new information straight from PAX West that is currently running today, September 1st through Labor Day on Monday, September 4th. From mice to backpack accessories to the newest in the line of Razer Blade’s, there is a lot to unpack. All of these devices will be released sometime between now and the end of the year, either online through Razer Zone or worldwide in-store.
Starting off with a brand new accessory, Razer has announced a 17.3″ Rogue backpack that is actually available right now on the official Razer website for $149.99. This backpack is said to fit any laptop 17.3″ or under. It sports the classic Razer logo with a more modern and subtle look.
Next up is the Razer Basilisk mouse. The latest in its lineup of serpent-inspired items, this mouse is dedicated to first-person shooter fans everywhere. It is fully customizable, including a removable clutch that can be used for a multitude of purposes from switching DPI quickly on-the-fly or programming it for push-to-talk, picking up items, etc. It is priced at $69.99 and will be available online later this month just in time for Destiny 2, and worldwide in Q4.
Moving on from accessories, Razer has announced two new hardware devices as apart of its 2017 lineup. The first is the latest in the Razer Blade Pro brand of VR-ready laptops. This new build features NVIDIA 1060 GPU, full HD display, i7-7700HQ CPU, and 16GB DDR4 RAM (expandable to 32GB) weighing in at a total of 6.78 pounds and 0.88 inches thin.
This ultra thin laptop is also lighter on specs than its 1080 GPU sibling, granting it a lower price point in the process. It will be released for $2299.99 in Q3 2017 on Razer’s site and Q4 worldwide. This laptop also supports the recently released Rogue backpack for on-the-go gaming.
Finally, the most interesting announcement from Razer is a partnership with the California-based company CYBERPOWERPC to develop and release Razer-themed PC’s exclusively through CYBERPOWERPC’s official site starting in October of this year. These PC’s are custom-made with various configurations, prices, and featuring the Razer brand logo and Chroma lighting technology as seen above.
