Push The Nazis Out of America in the Latest Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Trailer

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is coming this October, but it’s revving its engines with each subsequent trailer release. Though Bethesda was content to push out fun parodical clips promoting the game over the past few weeks with characters like “Blitzmensch” and the “German or Else!” game show, it’s taking things back to fundamentals this time around as frontman BJ Blazkowicz rounds up his band of ne’er-do-wells and resistance members to take the fight to the Nazis once more.

The trailer gives us a good look at the damage the Nazis have done in their bid to take over the western world, as you get to know the leader of the Black Revolutionary Front, Grace, a little better, as well as BJ’s woman Anya, Set Roth, Bombate, Fergus, Max Hass, Super Spesh, and the rest of the “gang.” You’ve seen them before in varying capacities, but this trailer really gives some additional weight to the characters as living, breathing souls who would give their dying breath to push the Nazis out of their home, or at he very least New Orleans, which they’ve walled off.

This clip in particular offers a riotous look at the game ahead of its PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC release, where you’ll get to do all the shooting you want to push back against the Nazi-occupied warzone that is America, all the while taking back even the English language, which is slowly being supplanted by the forced learning of German.

If you decide you want to take the plunge with the game (and you should, as early previews suggest it’s excellent) you’ll be able to pick it up as well as a season pass, which will net you the Freedom Chronicles, three individual story episodes that explore the backgrounds of one hero per episode: Jessica Valiant, Captain Wilkins, and Joseph Stallion, a former OSS agent, captain, and old quarterback. It’s gonna be great.
