WWE 2K18 PC Release Date Will Be the Same as PS4 and Xbox One

In a first for the WWE 2K series, WWE 2K18‘s release date will be exactly the same as on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Wrestling fans on the PC will be pleased to hear that 2K will bring the game to the platform on October 17th, the same day it is set for release on both Sony and Microsoft’s consoles. The standard and deluxe editions of the game will go live on Steam and other PC retailers on that date, although the Early Access perk for the deluxe edition will not be made available outside of the PS4 and Xbox One. The two versions of Kurt Angle will still be available to PC players who pre-order the game.

The statement from 2K reads:

“In a first for the WWE 2K series, WWE 2K18 is releasing on PC the same day as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One! On October 17th, both the standard and deluxe editions of WWE 2K18 will go live on Steam and various other PC retailers around the globe.

While the four-day Early Access Deluxe Edition perk for PlayStation 4/Xbox One will not be an option on PC, those who pre-order either edition will receive two versions of Kurt Angle on day one. Downloadable content will be available à la carte for those who purchase the Standard Edition.”

Prior to WWE 2K18, the WWE 2K games have launched on PC months after their initial console release. For instance, WWE 2K17 launched in February 2017 as opposed to its console release in October 2016, while WWE 2K16 launched in March 2016 on the PC after consoles received it in October 2015. Thankfully that won’t be the case this time around, and PC gamers will be able to start grappling on exactly the same day as their console counterparts.
