A new video has revealed gameplay footage taken from three of Star Wars Battlefront 2‘s single-player campaign missions, showing Iden Versio and her Inferno Squad taking on the Rebel Alliance following the events of Return of the Jedi.
The footage shows Iden taking control of a small droid on a Rebel base (brownie points go to DICE for allowing players to shoot door controls in order to force them shut), shooting down Rebel scum on Endor and taking to the skies in a TIE Fighter. The game looks suitably gorgeous, with the final cutscene showing Iden propelling out of an emergency hatch and into what appears to be an Imperial dreadnought, the villainous army’s giant Navy spacecraft.

The video was captured by YouTuber Major Marlowe, who recorded it during a visit at an EA event in Paris. DICE introduced a single-player story mode to the new game after complaints leveled in the direction of their previous attempt at the Star Wars Battlefront franchise, which was criticized for being light on content. Though the shooter still retains a heavy multiplayer focus, EA has pushed its single-player mode to the forefront of its presentation, so there are high hopes that it will meet expectations.
