Likely inspired by real-life military survival training, Don't Starve is a survival title where you play as Wilson, a scientist stuck in a wilderness world by a demon. It's currently in early access beta and there's a free trial via Google Chrome, and Klei Entertainment is looking for feedback.
As the title commands, WIlson must scrounge for food, build a campsite, and explore the massive randomly-generated map to gather resources. Maybe he'll find some berries, flammable strands of grass, and enough logs to build a fire to keep away the hungry predators at night.
As a scientist, he can also craft and research various items, earning Research Points by grinding up objects in the science machine.
The game is still in development, but from the small glimpses I saw of the game at PAX, it has the makings of an indie hit. Klei Entertaiment has a knack for developing bite-sized downloadable titles with an intriguing art style, and Don't Starve is no exception. Check out more screenshots below!
