Pokemon Go Rayquaza Release Time, Location, When to Catch Gen 3 and Other Legendaries

Are you ready to catch ‘em all? Then you’d best be quick. Pokemon Go is letting Rayquaza loose for a limited time only, as well as other time-specific events that feature every Hoenn Pokemon, including Legendary Pokemon Kyogre.

Niantic Labs has revealed that, to pin down the dragon/flying Legendary, you’re going to want to check out your local Gyms. Pokemon Go Rayquaza will be available in Raid Battles until March 16.

Not only that, but another Legendary will be cropping up in the wild. From today, February 8, you’ll be able to come across (if you’re lucky) water-type behemoth Kyogre. You’ll have to be far quicker for this one, though: Kyogre is only around until February 14. Maybe it’s swimming off to find its true love? D’aww.

If that’s still not enough, Niantic have oh-so-kindly extended the lifespan of Pokemon Go even more by including every single Hoenn Pokemon; they’re available in some shape or form until February 13. They include some of my favourites: Latios, Latias and Treecko. Not only will they be available in the wild, but also in Raid Battles and even from eggs, if you’re patient enough.

Being able to catch Pokemon isn’t easy though. If you’re in need of a helping hand throughout next week’s events, you’ll be pleased to know that Niantic is introducing new special boxes to the in-game store, starting February 9. The boxes, which contain invaluable items such as Raid Passes, Incubators and Star Pieces, will be around until February 23.

So, what are you waiting for? Put that cap on backwards, your voice a few octaves higher and unleash your inner Ash Ketchum.
