Ubisoft’s Uplay May Include Third-Party Games

Uplay, Ubisoft's own PC gaming cloud client, could start selling third-party games, according to Ubisoft's worldwide director for online games, Stephanie Perotti.

"We remain open to opportunities," Perotti said in an interview with MCV. "Right now, we're starting the service with our own games, but as we go forward, we plan to potentially add other titles."

She went on to say that Uplay will offer more than just gaming services like their current competition (Steam, Origin, GOG, etc.). "The plan for Uplay goes beyond digital distribution," she said.

It appears we're on the road toward every publisher forming their own PC cloud service so they can directly sell their games for more profit than say with Steam. Why house everything in one place? That's just madness.
