Kingdom Come Deliverance Sells Around Half a Million Units in Two Days

Kingcome Come Deliverance was released two days ago on February 13th, and it has already managed to sell approximately 500,000 units.

Speaking to Czech TV, Kingdom Come Deliverance game designer Daniel Vávra announced that the game has sold over 300,000 units on digital distribution platform Steam and exceeded 100,000 at retail. However, the sales figures for the PS4 and Xbox One were not revealed, as Vávra promises that those details will be released in a month.

According to SteamSpy, Kingdom Come Deliverance‘s concurrent players peaked at 75,071 on Steam. Additionally, it was the top-selling game on the day it was launched, as well as impressively breaking into the list of top five most-played games. Vávra adds that achieving a sales figure of one million or more units sold would be “nice” for the developer, Warhorse Studios.

Kingdom Come Deliverance takes place in the medieval times of Bohemia, an Imperial State of the Holy Roman Empire. Players assume the role of protagonist Henry, the son of a blacksmith, where they fight against the invasion of their homeland. The game focuses on being a historically accurate depiction of its era, with realistic sword-fighting and castle sieges. Players can choose to overcome their problems with diplomacy or violence, which will affect the story and world around them.

Players are required to eat and sleep to stay healthy. The difficulty increases when food supplies get spoiled over time, so players cannot horde items like in other RPGs. The clothing system is quite complex too, as there over sixteen slots over which accessories and wearable items can be layered. Horses also level up throughout the game and will have five slots for armor and other attachments.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is an action RPG game developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 in our review, which readers can check out here. The game also had a massive day one patch, which doubled the size of the game.
