Dragon Age 3: Inquisition Revealed, Features New Engine Built On Frostbite 2

Rejoice! We finally have received official word from Electronic Arts that Dragon Age 3 is in fact real. Dubbed Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, this third entry in BioWare's popular role-playing series aims to be most ambitious entry in the series to date… obviously.

On the franchise's official site, BioWare’s Mark Darrah has posted a letter to the fans, revealing what little tidbits of info he can about the game right now. In addition to confirming the game's title, Darrah shared that "this game is being made by a lot of the same team that has been working on Dragon Age since Dragon Age: Origins. It´s composed of both experienced BioWare veterans and talented new developers."

He also went on to elaborate how they seek to improve upon the franchise, speaking to the game's powerful new engine. "We are working on a new engine which we believe will allow us to deliver a more expansive world, better visuals, more reactivity to player choices, and more customization. At PAX East, we talked about armour and followers…. Yeah, that kind of customisation. We´ve started with Frostbite 2 from DICE as a foundation to accomplish this."

How psyched are you for Dragon Age 3: Inquisition? Yeah, yeah I know… Dragon Age 2 was an utter disappointment, but something tells me the studio has learned from their mistakes.
