I don't know about you but I totally loved my GameCube. It could have something to do with it being the last Nintendo console I cherished before the company ripped my heart out with the Wii, but I'm not entirely sure. Regardless, the system had so many great games. From Wind Waker to Eternal Darkness to Luigi's Mansion Metroid Prime, Nintendo's purple, minidisc-eating lunchbox packed quite a punch on the software front.
As such, one would hope that Nintendo plans to bring the system's most memorable titles to their online store, especially in light of the fact that the Wii U can't play GameCube discs.
Apparently NOA's Reggie Fils-Aime is well aware of this fact and would like to see games from the GameCube era on the Wii U's online store as well. Speaking with Kotaku, Fils-Aime teased the possibility, responding to the outlet's inquiry by saying: "That is a great question. And personally I would love for that to happen, but we have nothing to announce right now."
How badly would you like to see GameCube games come to the Wii U? I for one would be much more likely to shell out the $300+ if I knew I could relive some of my fondest memories with the GameCube. Let's just hope they're not priced at like $30 a pop.
