The June 2023 Nintendo Direct was full of all sorts of announcements from new game reveals to trailers of upcoming ports. Here’s everything from the show.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero
This previously announced two-part DLC got a new trailer showing off some of the creatures, characters, and areas that will be in The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. The former is releasing in the fall, while the latter is scheduled for winter 2023, which are the same windows from the initial announcement in February.
Sonic Superstars
This Sonic game from Summer Game Fest got a new trailer that showed more of the co-op platformer.
Palia
This previously announced free-to-play adventure sim got a new trailer and is officially coming to the Switch.
Persona 5 Tactica
This tactical spin-off from the Xbox Games Showcase also got a new a trailer. Pre-orders being today.
Mythforce
This stylized first-person roguelite is already on PC, but is now coming to Switch in 2023, as well.
Splatoon 3
Nintendo’s popular shooter is getting a new Splatfest about ice cream flavors. It will start on July 14 at 5 p.m. PT and run until July 16 at 5 p.m. PT.
Detective Pikachu Returns
Detective Pikachu was rumored to be close to release, and now that has been confirmed. The series is back in this new sequel and is releasing on October 6.
Super Mario RPG remake
Super Mario RPG is now getting a full remake on the Switch. It is coming out on November 17.
Batman: Arkham Trilogy
Batman: Arkham Asylum, City, and Knight are all coming to the Switch in one newly announced bundle in the fall. Arkham Origins is not included.
Gloomhaven
After saying it would make its way to “consoles,” Twin Sails has confirmed that this tactical RPG is now coming to the Switch on September 18. Pre-orders are now open, and it will be $39.99 with a 10% launch discount.
Princess Peach’s untitled game
Princess Peach is also getting her own game, but Nintendo didn’t reveal much about it. It will release sometime in 2024.
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon
The 3DS game Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is getting a visual makeover. It will come out sometime next year.
Just Dance 2024
The popular dancing game was already revealed for the Switch, but it got a new trailer.
Silent Hope
This newly announced RPG is coming to the Switch and PC on October 3.
Fae Farm
Pre-orders for this cozy farming game have gone live.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2
This previously announced racing game got a new trailer.
Manic Mechanic
Pre-orders also just went live for this newly announced Overcooked-esque co-op title. It will release first on Switch.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope – DLC 2: The Last Spark Hunter
This expansion for Sparks of Hope got its release date, and it’s out now. A demo of the main game is now live, too.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince
This newly revealed RPG is releasing on December 1.
Pikmin 4
Pikmin 4 got yet another trailer, giving players a better look at the game’s mechanics.
Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2
Remasters of the two GameCube entries are releasing digitally on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch. They’re $29.99 individually and $49.99 together.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1
The collection got its release date and will be $59.99 when it comes out on October 24. Each game will be $19.99 individually, too.
Vampire Survivors
This acclaimed auto-shooting survival game was announced for the Switch.
Head Bangers: Rhythm Royale
This recently revealed silly rhythm battle royale got another trailer and is releasing on October 31.
Penny’s Big Breakaway
This newly announced 3D platformer from the team behind Sonic Mania is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC early next year.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass Wave 5
Mario Kart 8’s next batch of DLC is coming this summer. It includes a new course Squeaky Clean Sprint and new characters: Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek.
Star Ocean: The Second Story R
This leaked title is a new remake of the second entry that fuses 2D and 3D graphics. It is coming on November 2 on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and PC.
WarioWare: Move It!
Nintendo announced a new WarioWare title for the Switch. It is coming on November 3.
Ganondorf and Zelda amiibo
Nintendo formally announced the Ganondorf and Zelda amiibo at the June 2023 Nintendo Direct and both will be out this holiday.
