Frontier has announced the release dates for the digital and retail versions of Jurassic World Evolution. According to the press release, the standard and digital deluxe editions of Jurassic World Evolution are already available for pre-order on Steam, PSN, Xbox Live and the Frontier Store. Those who pre-order the game before launch will receive a helicopter skin and ranger vehicle skin, which will be exclusive to each platform.
Jurassic World Evolution was initially announced at GamesCom 2017, where Frontier CEO Jonny Watts said: “As long-time fans of the entire Jurassic series we’re thrilled to be putting players in charge of their own Jurassic World. We’re excited to bring over fifteen years of management, simulation, and creature development expertise to a destination and franchise that remains an inspiration to us.”
Frontier has developed excellent games like Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster so we know that Jurassic World Evolution is in good hands. In the game, players will take control of operations on the legendary island of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago, where they will build their own Jurassic World park as they bioengineer new dinosaur breeds, as well as construct attractions, containment, and research facilities.
In other related news, we reported that Jeff Goldblum will be starring in Jurassic World Evolution. Goldblum will reprise his iconic role of Dr. Ian Malcolm from the Jurassic Park franchise. He appeared in a special trailer, awarding the game “ten Goldblums” and saying that it’s his “highest rating.”
Jurassic World Evolution‘s June 12 digital release date will coincide with the release of the upcoming Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. The game’s physical release for the PS4 and Xbox One will be on July 3rd, 2018.
