A new Fortnite Impact limited time mode has been discovered in the latest 3.5.0 update game files. As with previous datamined modes, Fortnite Impact is very likely to appear in the limited time mode rotation, sooner rather than later. What’s especially curious, is that the Impact mode is only listed as being available in solo play. This means that there isn’t yet support for duos or squads. Here’s what we know.
Fortnite Impact Limited Time Mode
A Fortnite Impact limited time mode wouldn’t be unusual to see, as Epic Games has featured many weird and wonderful playlists that put a unique spin on the traditional battle royale rules. The developers have even entertained the idea of a Fortnite Gun Game mode, saying it’s “on the list,” so virtually anything seems possible.
The Fortnite Impact limited time mode has been discovered by @TwoEpicBuddies, who posted their findings on Twitter. Translated from German, their post reads: “A new mode is in the game files! Impact! Only solo and probably has something to do with the comet!”

Fortnite Impact Mode: Is It Linked to the Comet?
Whether or not the Fortnite Impact mode will be linked to the comet is still up in the air. With the Fortnite Impact mode only currently being found for solo players, I suppose it’s reasonable to suggest that Impact could be an event mode where players experience the comet striking the planet. “Impact” certainly hints at that kind of scenario.
Of course, it’s also possible that Fortnite Impact will simply feature weapons that pack a punch. There are plenty of weapons that can deal one-hit kills, so perhaps that would be the theme of an Impact mode. I guess that time will tell!
