The Fortnite Tilted Towers comet theory has been growing in popularity, with many members of the community believing that the game’s popular Tilted Tower landing zone is doomed to be destroyed by an incoming comet. Up until the recent patch, Epic Games had left these rumors and theories alone, neither debunking nor acknowledging them. However, with the new Fortnite 3.6 update, the developer has added a number of Easter eggs that blatantly reference the comet and the notion of an annihilated Tilted Towers.
Fortnite Tilted Towers Signs
Following the 3.6 update, Fortnite players who visit the top of one of the Tilted Towers skyscrapers will find various signs, with images showing Tilted Towers, aliens, a comet and “Tomorrow.” These images can be seen below, as found and compiled by Reddit user mateybob.
The first sign shows Tilted Towers inside of a love heart. Many members of the Fortnite community love to land in that area, as it guarantees a quick route to the action.
The next sign shows an alien spaceship inside a pink love heart. This is a little trickier to work out, but for anyone who has seen Independence Day, this sign may jump out as a nod to one of the scenes in that movie.
The third sign shows a comet, a blatant reference to the Fortnite comet theories doing their rounds on the web, and also the bright light that has appeared in the game’s sky.
Finally, there’s the “Tomorrow” sign, with “Today” crossed out. I personally like to think of this as Epic Games teasing the community. Every single day there are rumors of a new comet event, and every single day nothing happens. Perhaps tomorrow, then?!
Of course, it’s also possible that Epic Games is now ready to be much more explicit about the incoming comet, and we may see more teasers in the coming week.
