If Kinect isn't quite accurate enough for you, perhaps Microsoft's new wrist-mounted invention, dubbed "Digits" will be. Some of the genius minds over at Microsoft Research have crafted a device that offers "freehand 3D computer interaction without gloves".
You can see the contraption in action via the video above. "Digits, a wrist-worn gloveless sensor developed by Microsoft Research in Cambridge, UK, enables 3D computer interaction in any environment and is practical beyond computer gaming," the research group explains.
While I'm not particularly fond of the idea of having to wear a wristband of sorts, I must say, the tech does look remarkably impressive. It will be interesting to see how Microsoft plans to use this tech (if at all) in their next iteration of motion control. What do you think of the device and its applications within the realm of gaming? Let us know in the comments below.
