Xbox Live’s digital subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, is getting a confirmed half-a-dozen new titles in June, with the promise of even more on the way. If you’re worried that your library of games on the service was looking a little sparse lately then fret not, this mix of games might perk you right back up.
Coming your way in June is Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut, MotoGP 17, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, The Technomancer, Disneyland Adventures and Next Up Hero. With the exception of Next Up Hero (which is coming to Xbox Game Pass ‘later in June’), those titles will be made available from June 1.
Sure, it may not be the most appetizing of titles at first glance but there’s at least some nice variety included. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 has a few outliers in terms of quality but is, overall, a very solid love letter to the latter days of the franchise; Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut is, all in all, pretty decent and Disneyland Adventures will keep the kids quiet for an hour, which is worth the price of admission alone.
Next Up Hero, though, sounds like the coolest of the bunch. Described as a crazy-fast co-op dungeon crawler with unique heroes, epic loot, and tough-as-nails monsters that will kill you it may sound like every roguelike ever made, but it has a pretty unique concept.
Each time you die, you leave behind a ghost that can be summoned by either you or other players worldwide. The ghost will then fight for you as a AI opponent. Think Super Meat Boy’s replays if they came to life and started murdering everything in sight and you’re probably on the right track.
You can read more about that, as well as the descriptions of the remaining Xbox Game Pass June 2018 titles, on the Xbox site.
