Code Vein, described as the ‘anime version of Dark Souls‘, has been pretty quiet when it comes to a release date. It was speculated to come out sometime in July this year, but that doesn’t seem remotely possible anymore. Though perhaps for a good reason especially as DONTNOD’s latest game, RPG Vampyr, is out next week and we don’t want a complete vampire overload.
Despite the lack of a release date, Bandai Namco has always been rather giving when it comes to information with the post-apocalyptic JRPG. There have been gorgeous screenshots, incredible streams from the developers and even a fantastic anime opening by Ufotable. The game is shaping up to be one that will be well-loved by JRPG fans and Dark Souls fans alike, yet all we’re missing is that all important release date.
Until now. The Code Vein release date, according to a recent tweet on the official Code Vein Twitter, Bandai Namco will be announcing the release date and debuting a brand new trailer for Code Vein on June 4 at 7 pm PT. Along with the tease of a release date, the tweet also showed off two brand new screenshots from the upcoming trailer.

With the reveal of a release date, speculation can finally come to an end and we can all start to be fully excited about this new game from Bandai Namco.
