PUBG Mobile Update Patch

PUBG Mobile Update Adds FPP, a New Arcade Mode, Royale Pass

PUBG Mobile is getting a new update today that brings some major additions to the game, according to an announcement by Tencent Games and PUBG Corporation. The new update, called patch 0.6.0, adds first-person perspective, Arcade Mode, Royale Pass, and more to the mobile version of the popular battle royale game.

The biggest addition coming with the new patch is definitely the introduction of the first-person perspective, allowing players to experience the game from a all-new point of view. FPP mode has been available for the desktop and console version of the game for quite awhile but is only now arriving for the mobile version of the game.

The update also adds the new Mini-Zone Arcade Mode which drops 100 players into a smaller circle of the map with triple the number of weapon spawns, which leads to shorter and more action-packed games. The previously available Arcade Mode reduced the size of the circle as well as the number of players while this new one keeps the player number to the original 100.

The new Royale Pass is practically the same as the Event Pass of the game’s desktop and console version. Those who purchase the Royale Pass will get access to daily and weekly missions to earn points and rank up. Those who complete a certain number of missions per week will also get additional crates. The Royale Pass costs $10 but a $30 version is also available which will give buyers bonuses such as extra costumes and 20 free ranks.

Other features that patch 0.6.0 introduces include an Armory where players can check out weapon and weapon accessory statistics, airplane and weapon finishes, and a new set of emotes for players to use. The player with the highest “Royale Pass” level will be able to choose the finish of the starting airplane.

PUBG Mobile is available for free on both Android and iOS. You can check out a trailer for the new patch 0.6.0 below:
