The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs expansion is finally coming out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month on July 31, 2018, according to an announcement by publisher EA. The expansion, which was originally released for the PC and Mac last year, brings back cats & dogs to the game, introduces a new area called Brindleton Bay, allows players to open their own veterinary clinic, and more.
The biggest addition of the Cats & Dogs expansion is the new Create-A-Pet tool, which lets players customize their own dog or cat. Players will be able to choose their pets breed, coloring, and more. The tool’s painting feature also allows players to get creative with their pets such as making them look like other animals such as raccoons or pandas. Once players take their new pets home, they can interact with them in a variety of ways such as caring for, training, and playing with them.
Players will also be able to build, open, and run their own veterinary clinic. Players will be able to hire staff, decide what services to offer, and determine how much to charge customers. Players can then diagnose and treat other pets suffering from a range of possible ailments from fleas to important surgeries.
Lastly, the new area introduced in the expansion, Brindleton Bay, will give players an area to explore with their new pets. The area contains a dock, a lighthouse, parks, and more. Players will also be able to build their own obstacle courses and meet other pet-owners. Players may also find stray pets that they can decide to adopt.
The expansion will also introduce a slew of new objects, collectibles, features, skills, aspirations, traits, and more.
